Employee Spotlight: Gerard Police

Welcome to the team, Gerard Police! We’re happy to have you with us. Gerard is our Personal Lines Customer Service Rep and has been with us for just over a month. In his role, he assists customers with their policy questions and helps new clients get quotes.

With over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, Gerard brings valuable knowledge from his previous work in hospitality.

He’s excited about the friendly and supportive work culture at Risman and looks forward to the holiday party and getting to know everyone better!

Gerard believes that knowledge is key in this industry and excels at customer interactions, focusing on keeping clients calm and satisfied. He found his two weeks of training with Lisa Gervais to be incredibly beneficial for his growth.

To maintain a healthy work-life balance, Gerard tries to leave work at work and enjoys spending weekends doing yard work or taking day trips with his family.

Outside of work, he loves to cook, host parties by the pool, and write. Fun fact: Gerard has published a children’s book and is currently working on a novel!

His advice for anyone starting in the insurance industry? “Have thick skin!” It’s important to be prepared for customers who may not be happy when they first reach out.

Looking ahead, Gerard hopes to see rates decrease and wants to stay with an agency that treats him with respect and understands his needs.
